What is an IP Address?

IP Address aka internet protocol address is an unique identifier for a PC. IP addresses are unique across the network and they're are of two types IPv4 and IPV6. The first variant are smaller and easier to remember. They are made up of numbers. The 2 variant contains alphabets and letters. You may not be able to remember them.

An ISP (Internet service provider) might assign your PC a static or dynamic IP. Static IPs don't change. Dynamic IPS may change anytime.
